GP Graders Announces New Appointment to Expand Manufacturing Business

Al Martin has been appointed as General Manager.

GP Graders is pleased to announce the appointment of Al Martin to the position of General Manager. In his position, he will be directly responsible for leading business growth, strategy and sophisticated client offerings for GP Graders manufacturing business.

The industry is undergoing a major structural shift worldwide as it moves from mass production systems to those of customised goods and services dependent on supply chains with global reach. This shift places demand on manufacturers like GP Graders to become technologically rich to connect to the world of their customers.

GP Graders brings experience and leadership to the team

GP Graders is experiencing significant growth in overall sales and into areas with their new product lines for blueberries, other small fresh produce using their recently launched traceability program, Exit Manager software.

Mr Stuart Payne, Director of GP Graders said, “Increased speed to market, productivity and knowing and understanding consumer behaviour, trends, and client needs will become critical in keeping GP Graders competitive within Australia and abroad.

“Having Al come on board is a great start to cater to this expectation. Drawing on his previous experience leading international businesses and growing them relevant to a globally interconnected world, Al will be responsible for helping GP Graders production clients navigate the rapidly changing landscape.”

He has been involved in a wide range of projects, specifically in large and complex operational environments across the Public and Private sectors and recognised for his dynamic, results-focused and accomplished strategic leadership. Notable projects with which Al has been involved include leading operational teams through to delivering a broad range of multidisciplinary medical and allied health services to 52 Defence sites around Australia servicing 80,000 personnel.

Mr Martin was most recently Director of Business Development for a global health provider Aspen Medical, where he was responsible for the growth and development of their Australian and overseas health care operations.
